I'm doomed no matter what. I live in a society full of retards where no argument no matter how evidence backed can compete with the conventional wisdom created by the authorities and the media regarding psychiatric drugs. Because I was drugged so heavily as a kid and effectively kicked out of society via the school system I have no formal education certificates, poor credit from having no credit and going into debt, no employment record at the age of 27 and no way of finding any housing at all away from my parents place unless I'm willing to take chemical lobotomy drugs that I don't even need and are what I despise and fear more than anything at all to either get subsidized housing or be put in a group home.
The only places that rent out without credit checks are skeevy motels in the ghetto where gangbangers and the such set up shop with their welfare checks. Once my aging parents die, I'm done for. If I live to be 45, I'm definitely done for.
And yet it I killed myself right now, everyone would chalk it up to some imaginary brain disease and not the fact that I was robbed of the prospect of life before I was even a teenager and continue to be to this day due to mass ignorance, misinformation and a lack of justice.
Here's a question I've often asked and a few responses I've gotten, or at least the point they made during their response.
"Why cant a person with a history of mental illness receive support to get back on their feet such as supported employment or subsidized housing without taking drugs if they have found another method to be successful and are fairly stable?"
> Because mental illness is a disease and diseases don't just go away, they may go into remission while awaiting relapse and the drugs can prevent relapse (They cant, in fact they make it worse in the long term; see the above link and read the book)
> Because if you don't need the meds you're not ill enough to need help
> Because it's policy. Employers and landlords wont work with us unless you're in treatment and the mainstay of treatment is currently drugs.
